Half Moon is a beautiful 1993 Hunter Legend 40.5 that has been meticulously maintained by the same owner for 18 years. It is a well-equipped sailing yacht with plenty of room inside. The owner himself is 6'2" and has no problem getting around the boat. With a very spacious interior, Half Moon has a more open floor plan than most sailboats its size. Accomodations consist of a spacious V-Berth and a queen size aft cabin with a custom memory foam mattress and a 24" flat screen TV with built in DVD. There is also a 32" flat screen TV with built in DVD in the main salon. The boat also has HD run throughout and a HD receiver on the mast. This vessel has had several modifications to make life easier, including shore power and cable hookups moved to the outside of the cockpit for easy attachment.
The boat has a very easy galley to get around with 2 entrances to the refrigerator- one through the counter top and one through a normal door. The refrigerator compressor was replaced in 2015 and works great. Currently, the freezer is not working, but makes a great dry storage area. The cook top and oven are fully functional, as well as the stainless steel microwave. There is also a great deal of work space for preparing food and a cabinet based wastebasket.
Half Moon has had many upgrades throughout its lifetime including a Simrad Navigation System, HD digital antennae, and cable run throughout the entire vessel. It is equipped with a very strong Yanmar diesel that is basically bulletproof. There is a SeaPower alternator system that works off of the motor as a generator system. In its lifetime, it has traveled across the Gulf of Mexico several times, all of the Bahamas, both coasts of Florida, and upand down the United States East Coast to Maine.

The boat is equipped with a full enclosure around the cockpit and a windshield cover that fully closes it in. All hatches have their own canvas covers and solar cover. It is also equipped with a 6 person life raft, new as of 6/2015, and an engine crane on the back to lift the dinghy motor. It also has a beautiful West Marine inflatable 9ft dinghy that holds its 4HP Mercury wonderfully. Other amenities include ground tackle, oversized anchor with 100 feet of chain and 250 feet of rope. It also has a Magma grill on the back.
This is a great boat for long range travel or a live-aboard. The current owner lived onboard for 13 years. Half Moon's last bottom job was done in May of 2015 and was gone through in the Keys last year with a small refit done on the entire vessel. This is a GREAT sailing vessel and ready for your next adventure to the Bahamas, Caribbean, and beyond.
